Yes, I Want to Create a Dream Board

Sean Coslett

Ever since I created my first vision board last summer with Leila and Karen, I was surprised to learn that everything I envisioned seemed to come true almost effortlessly.

I want to share this story based on actual events on my vision board. I focused on four sections: Personal Growth (Career, Self-Development, and Self-Discovery), Traveling, Home, and Happiness.

I put the vision board near the wall where I would see it daily. Somehow, I made some unconscious decisions leading to what I truly wanted for myself.  I wanted to travel out of the country, and then all of a sudden, I spent three weeks and a half in Europe and skiing over the Alps this winter, which I have been dreaming of since I was a little kid. The small thought was a simple thought or merely a wish--I put it on my vision board--and then it manifested to the point where it seemed to happen so naturally and gracefully.

Embrace the journey, and envision the dream you truly want. Hang the vision board in a place where you will see it every day. You won't regret it. I wish you an incredible journey.

Namaste,
Sean Cosslett

In my Vision Board, I spotlighted a few things. Here is what has been coming true for me:

  • More family time
  • More bicycling and running
  • More fish (aquarium hobby)
  • More life-work balance
  • More use of my favorite color shade of blue
My vision board has been quite useful as a mindful reminder -- I've left it up in conspicuous places in my office.
